About the Role Our client is seeking a motivated Buyer to manage procurement activities for their operations in Queenstown, Eastern Cape . This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient acquisition of necessary materials, equipment, and services while maintaining cost control and quality standards. You will be responsible for identifying suppliers, negotiating terms, and managing relationships to support the company's ongoing projects and operational needs. Key Responsibilities Source and procure goods and services according to specified requirements and budgets. Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to achieve cost savings. Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, supplier agreements, and delivery confirmations. Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of stock. Evaluate supplier performance and address any issues related to quality or delivery. Collaborate with internal departments to understand their purchasing needs and provide timely support. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a buyer or purchasing role. Strong negotiation skills and experience in managing supplier relationships. Familiarity with procurement best practices and inventory management. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with purchasing software. Excellent organizational and communication skills, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
