About the Role Our client is seeking a qualified Field Telecoms Engineer to join their team based in Queenstown , Eastern Cape. This role involves the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of telecommunications infrastructure and equipment in various on-site locations. You will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our client's network services in the region. Key Responsibilities Install, configure, and test telecommunications hardware and software at client sites. Perform routine maintenance and preventative checks on network infrastructure to ensure operational integrity. Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to network connectivity, equipment failure, and service disruptions. Respond promptly to service requests and emergency calls to minimize downtime and restore services. Maintain accurate records of all installations, maintenance activities, and repairs performed. Collaborate with the central engineering team to implement network upgrades and new technologies. Requirements Minimum of 3 years of experience in a telecoms engineering or technical support role. Strong understanding of telecommunications principles, including fiber optics, wireless, and IP networking. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and testing equipment. Ability to work independently, manage schedules, and travel within the assigned geographic area. Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
