Early learning / kōhanga reo, Certificated teacher Suitable for beginning teachers Are you an experienced, New Zealand-qualified and registered ECE kaiako looking for a centre where your ideas, experience and contribution will be genuinely valued? Riverhead Montessori is seeking a passionate and dedicated kaiako to join our warm, welcoming and collaborative team. This full-time, permanent position is based in our 3 to 6-year-old preschool classroom. We are a small, well-resourced progressive Montessori centre offering a thoughtful blend of Montessori principles, child-led learning and outdoor exploration. Set on half an acre of beautiful organic grounds, our unique environment gives tamariki space to explore, discover and connect with nature through a rich indoor and outdoor programme. In this role, you will: create engaging and meaningful learning experiences for tamariki contribute fresh ideas to programme planning and curriculum development build warm, respectful relationships with tamariki and whānau support and mentor other members of the teaching tea contribute to a programme grounded in Te Whāriki and informed by Montessori principles. We would love to hear from someone who: holds a recognised New Zealand ECE teaching qualification has current New Zealand teacher registration and a practising certificate is confident in programme planning, assessment and documentation communicates well and enjoys working collaboratively brings warmth, initiative, creativity and a genuine love of teaching has an interest in Montessori education – Montessori experience is welcomed but not essential.
