The Role We're looking for a General Manager – Operations & Growth to join our HQ team. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for ensuring the business runs effectively, priorities are delivered and opportunities for growth are identified and acted on. You'll work across operations, systems, governance, risk, compliance and business growth, working closely with the Director and the team across both SHIFT Advisory and SHIFT Compliance. We're looking for someone who is practical, commercially minded and comfortable making decisions. You'll be someone who can work across the business, solve problems and keep things moving. What you’ll do Support the Director to deliver SHIFT's strategic priorities and business plan. Keep day-to-day operations moving and make sure key priorities, projects and actions are followed through. Oversee systems, processes, governance, risk and compliance across SHIFT Advisory and SHIFT Compliance. Work with the HQ team and external experts to ensure the business meets its obligations and continues to improve how it operates. Identify and drive opportunities to improve business performance, support growth and strengthen how SHIFT operates. Monitor business performance and give the Director clear visibility of issues, risks, opportunities and progress. What we’re looking for Takes ownership and follows things through. Can manage competing priorities and work out what needs attention. Is practical, solutions-focused and comfortable making decisions. Builds strong relationships and knows when to bring in the right expertise. Enjoys working in a growing business where things don't always stay the same. Experience in professional services, legal, consulting or a similar environment is preferred, with experience across operations, governance, risk, compliance or business improvement. Why SHIFT?
