Clinical Nurse Specialist - Emergency Department South Island - Otago – Dunedin, South Island Clinical Nurse Specialist – Emergency Department – Fixed term 0.75 FTE / 30 hours per week Fixed term until November 2027 Our Emergency Department's (ED) vision is to be a centre of clinical care and customer service excellence. The ED has a strong focus on customer service and its success is reliant on effective communication and teamwork. The Emergency Department includes a triage area, a rapid assessment area, dedicated resuscitation areas, acute, sub-acute and paediatric cubicles along with ambulatory care spaces. It carries out all acute cares for adults and paediatrics including full patient resuscitation facilities, management of trauma, fractures, injuries and so much more. About the role Provide specialist emergency nursing care and expertise both in direct care delivery, Mentor staff so they too gain further knowledge and skill, Collaborate across the organisation, Acting in the roles of clinician, educator, consultant, researcher, leader/change agent and care coordinator/case manager, Fixed-term to cover shifts while the incumbent undertakes career progression training. About you Proven practice and advanced knowledge in emergency nursing, Either hold or be working towards post graduate qualification at a minimum of a diploma or/and a master's degree. Advanced communication techniques such as conflict resolution, diffusion and mediation skills.
