About the role As a Senior Flooring Installer, you’ll work across a varied mix of commercial and residential projects throughout Canterbury. You’ll be trusted to take ownership of your jobs and deliver them to a high standard, working both independently and alongside other installers and apprentices. The ideal person will bring solid experience across multiple flooring types. You don’t need to be an expert in everything – if you bring strong flooring capability, quality workmanship and the right attitude, there’s an opportunity to develop your skills across other areas. Key responsibilities Complete commercial and residential flooring installations to a high standard Take ownership of allocated jobs from preparation through to completion Work across carpet, vinyl, timber, laminate and plank flooring depending on experience Identify and resolve practical site issues, escalating when required Communicate professionally with customers, site contacts and other trades Work alongside apprentices, sharing knowledge and supporting their development Maintain high standards of workmanship, site care and health and safety You will likely have: A flooring trade qualification and solid post-apprenticeship experience The ability to confidently run jobs and manage your own workload High standards of workmanship and attention to finish A team-first approach and willingness to help develop apprentices Good communication skills and a professional approach with customers A full NZ driver licence.
