Aboutthe Role We are seeking a dedicated Anaesthetic Technician Clinical Coach to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role is designed to provide clinical coaching and support to new staff and trainees, alongside assisting with professional development and education within the Anaesthetic Technician team. This role has two main areas of focus: Support of New Staff and Trainees: - Work closely with AUT students, RNAA trainees, locumstaff, internationally qualified staff, new graduate Anaesthetic Technicians,New Zealand-trained staff new to Waitaha, and staff building their clinicalconfidence and competence. - Provide guidance, clinical education, feedback, andact as a preceptor or support role to ensure staff are integrated into ourservices effectively. Support for Professional Development Coordinator and Clinical Educator - Assist with clinical education, professional development activities, and coverage for the Professional Development Coordinator and Clinical Educator during planned and unplanned leave. - Collaborate with the wider team to support anaesthetic technicians and trainees in their ongoing development. About you We are seeking an experienced Anaesthetic Technician or RNAAwith a passion for clinical education and coaching. The ideal candidate willhave a proactive approach to education, excellent communication skills, and theability to provide tailored guidance, with a commitment to supporting theprofessional development of new and existing staff, ensuring they areconfident, competent and well integrated into our team. Required Skills and Qualifications: Excellent communication skills with the abilityto provide constructive feedback and guidance to staff at various stages oftheir career Proactive approach to problem solving andcontinuous improvement Ability to prioritise and manage multiple taskseffectively Passionfor education, mentoring, and staff development Strongcommunication, organisation, and leadership skills Registration and current APC with the MedicalSciences Council of New Zealand Minimum of 3 years post qualification experience Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reoMāori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of yourlearning and growth Work collaboratively, as a team player ensuringcontinuity of education during planned and unplanned leave Encourage a supportive and engaging learningenvironment Experience in projects / initiatives which giveeffect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application ofMātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply inhealthcare settings Previous experience in clinical education orsupervision is advantageous Post graduate qualification in clinicaleducation or adult learning is advantageous Workingfor Health New Zealand Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuringexcellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
