Nurse Prescriber / Practice Nurse Opportunity - Primary Care

Location : Selwyn Village Healthcare (Spreydon, Christchurch)

Position : Full-time or Part-time (approximately 32-40 hours per week)

Pay and benefits : Significantly above current NZNO MECA for the right mix of skills and experience

Selwyn Village Healthcare are looking for a Nurse Prescriber to join our team. We are a clinician-owned and managed General Practice in central Christchurch, committed to high-quality, long-term comprehensive care for our diverse community.

Preference will be given to Nurse Prescriber experience, though we’re also able to mentor and support someone new to the qualification, with an existing Nurse Prescriber who has completed training with us.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

In this role, youll be a core part of our team, working alongside another Nurse Prescriber, GPs, Health Care Assistant, and our Administrative team. Your main responsibilities will include :

• Nurse Prescriber duties : triaging, assessing and treating walk-in / acute care, plus planned review of chronic health conditions and related medication.
• Supporting patient equity for our diverse community.
• Consultant GP support and mentoring is provided to ensure you can practice comfortably within your scope.
