An exciting opportunity for a Trade Marketing Manager to play a pivotal role in shaping the trade marketing strategy for a leading media organisation based in Auckland. This position is perfect for someone who thrives on developing and executing impactful campaigns that drive sales and elevate brand presence.

What You'll Do

As Trade Marketing Manager, you will be entrusted with crafting innovative strategies that underpin the success of sales efforts. Your day-to-day activities will involve close collaboration with senior leadership to ensure every campaign aligns with wider business goals. You will take ownership of end-to-end project delivery—overseeing everything from conceptualisation through to execution—while nurturing relationships with key partners to maximise revenue opportunities.

Develop comprehensive trade marketing strategies in partnership with the Head of Sales to support overall sales objectives and strengthen market positioning.
Design and execute detailed trade marketing plans featuring diverse initiatives tailored to boost the effectiveness of the television sales team.
Oversee all communications between the sales division and advertisers, ensuring clear articulation of product offerings, new launches, special projects, and core services.
Represent the organisation’s market and product positioning both internally among colleagues and externally with key partners, advertisers, and sponsors.

What You Bring

To excel as Trade Marketing Manager you will bring substantial hands-on experience from roles focused on trade marketing or advertising sales—ideally within fast-evolving sectors like television or digital media. Your academic background or equivalent practical exposure equips you with robust theoretical foundations which you have successfully translated into real-world results. You are adept at using advanced office software tools for planning campaigns or preparing persuasive presentations. Your interpersonal strengths shine when collaborating across functions or presenting ideas persuasively to clients. A keen eye for detail allows you to produce polished materials that resonate with target audiences while your time management skills enable you to juggle competing priorities effortlessly.

Demonstrated experience (5+ years) in trade marketing, sponsorships, advertising sales or related fields within media or similar industries.

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel for effective project management and communication.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills enabling you to collaborate efficiently across departments while engaging external stakeholders professionally.
