The Managerof thePortfolioManagementteamplays a key role in managingtheReserve Bank -TePūteaMatuabalance sheetandsupportingthe effectiveoperationof itsparticipation infinancialmarkets.You will work closely withand be supported bysenior leadership and your managerial cohort within theFinancialMarkets directorate.

Alongsideprovidingdeepfinancial marketsexpertiseyou willleadanddevelopthe teamsetclearstrategic directionand fostera culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

The Portfolio Management teamexecutestransactionsinwholesale financialmarkets on a day-to-day basisto implement monetary policysupportliquidityin the domesticbanking sectorandmanagethe Reserve Banks portfolio offoreign reserves.

Werelooking foranexperiencedleaderwithastrongfinancial marketsbackground.

Youwillbring:

• A provenability tofosteroperational excellence anddevelophigh-performingteams

• An in-depth understanding of financial marketswithexperienceapplyingthat knowledgeinpractice

• Excellent strategic thinking skills and a future-focusedperspective

• The ability tobuildanengagedinclusiveand high-performingteam culture

• Proven leadership experience within financial markets or central banking

• Excellentcommunication and relationship-managementskillswith the ability toengageeffectivelyat all levels

• Astrongunderstanding of theroleof a central bank infinancial markets

• Strongtrack recordofcoachingmentoringand developing high performing financial markets team members (and teams).

• Knowledge of key market and credit risk tools and techniquesand experience in managing financial markets risk within approved delegations.
