Tetūranga The role
Join theRisk Specialistteam within theFinancial Stability Group the team responsible for safeguarding New Zealands financial system. As an Advisor you will draw on yourcyber resilience andtechnologyrisksubject matter and technicalexpertiseto deliver projects initiatives and workstreams within the Group. The role also involvescontributing to supervisory risk assessmentsprovidinghigh-qualityguidancecoachingcolleagues and contributing thought leadership within your areas of expertise.
In this role you will:
Lead and supportGroupstrategy policyandsupervision initiativesrelating tocyberandtechnologyrisk management operational resilience outsourcing incidentreportingand critical operations including developingsupervisoryframeworksby providing specialist advice and challenge.
Lead key work programmes analytical projectsand technicalreviewsand support cross-functional initiatives and publications related tocyber and technologyrisk including supportingcoachingor guiding colleagues.
Provide thought leadership and high-quality analysis on global and domestic developmentscyber threats and emerging vulnerabilities that may affect regulated entities and/or the financial system and contributing totheReserve Banks response to these risks.
Maintain cyber incident response protocols in collaboration with internal and external stakeholdersandleadtheReserve Banks response to regulated entity incidentreporting.
Apply sound judgement to resolve complex issues and build trust with management and key stakeholders.
Provide subject matter and technical advice acrosstheReserve Bankto support capability building and access totimely high-quality information.
Build andmaintainconstructive relationships acrosstheReserve Bank public sector domestic and international regulatorscyber agenciescentralbanksand other relevant organisations.

To be successful in this role you will bring:
Experience in regulatory compliance consultingcybersecurityorinformation security with strong technicalexpertiseinfinancial services risk managementoperational resiliencecyberresilienceand/ortechnology risk.
A relevant tertiary qualificationin information technology cyber security computer science engineering risk management financeaccountingor a related discipline.
At least five years experience in banking insurance financial marketscyber securitytechnology risk governance risk and compliance (GRC) or a related field.
Relevant professional certifications such as CISSP CISM CISA ISO 27001 Lead Auditor cloud security certifications GIAC certifications or equivalent practical experience would beadvantageous.
Knowledge of financial services regulation and relevantcyberandtechnologyrisk frameworks such as ISO 27001 NIST Cybersecurity Framework or equivalent frameworks.
Experience leading and delivering statistical analyticaltechnologypolicyor financial initiatives and workstreams.
Strong understanding of global and domestic issues affecting the New Zealandeconomyparticularlyin relation tocyberandtechnology resilience.
Sound judgement holisticthinkingand the ability to provide leadership in a dynamic open team environment.
A collaborative approach that draws on the knowledge of colleagues and stakeholders and contributes constructively to shared outcomes.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complextechnicalinformation to technical and non-specialist audiences(including Boards and Executive teams).
