Were looking for a Management Accountant to join our Hawkes Bay team. This is a hands-on role where youll work closely with operational leaders support smart commercial decisions and help keep the financial side of the business sharp accurate and moving forward.
Youll partner with the Finance Manager admin team and wider business to deliver good work that matters. This role also has people leadership responsibility with two direct reports so youll play an important part in supporting guiding and developing team members day to day. Support month end activities including journals reconciliations analysis and P&L reviews with managers.
Assist with project forecasting annual budgets and business cases for capital expenditure.
Manage capital submissions and CAPEX administration.
Partner with quarry operations on production planning demand forecasting inventory management and day-to-day accounting tasks.
Partner with all operational teams on financial analysis P&L forecasting and training on financial reports and business tools.
Ensure compliance with accounting policies reporting timetables and governance requirements
Support safe compliant and high-quality ways of working while contributing to projects and continuous improvement across the region.

An appropriate tertiary qualification and CA/CPA designation.
Experience in or sound knowledge of a civil contracting environment would be advantageous.
Experience in a manufacturing environment is desirable but not essential.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn financial information into practical useful insights.
A proactive accountable approach and confidence working both independently and as part of a team.
A collaborative style sound judgement and a genuine commitment to safety quality and doing good work.
