  • Midpoint of $82061 dependent on experience

Ko tōu ake mahi - What youll do

This is a great opportunity to work at the centre of the Ministry supporting Director-General of Health and Ministerial priorities through high-quality coordination analysis and advisory support.

Youll work alongside Senior and Principal Advisors to connect information support executive processes and help ensure priorities are clearly understood progressed and delivered.

Youll bring clarity to complex information support effective decision-making and help maintain strong coordination across teams. If youre someone who is proactive organised and keen to grow your advisory capability in a high-performing environment this role offers real exposure and impact.

  • Support coordination and tracking of Director-General priorities ensuring clarity on actions ownership and progress

  • Support coordination of the Weekly Report for the Minister of Health

  • Support DG Advisory inbox triage and management

  • Contribute to the preparation of briefings summaries and advice for senior leaders

  • Identify emerging risks and issues and escalate appropriately with clear context

  • Support decision-making by assisting with analysis framing issues and testing the quality of advice

  • Coordinate across teams to ensure visibility alignment and follow-through on actions and commitments

  • Build strong working relationships across the Ministry and support effective stakeholder engagement

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of processes tools and ways of working

  • Experience in policy monitoring corporate or advisory roles (or a related environment)

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand information and contribute to clear practical advice

  • Discretion sound judgement and the ability to work through ambiguity with guidance

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships

  • An understanding (or interest in developing knowledge) of government processes
