This role will be suitable for an RVN with previous line management or imaging experience, an Imaging Technician or a Radiographer.You'll work alongside a highly skilled team of RVNs, Radiographers, Patient Care Assistants (PCAs), and a Specialist-led referral team, all committed to delivering exceptional care.
Many of our nurses hold postgraduate qualifications, and we actively support further professional development.Key Responsibilities IncludeLine management of imaging technicians and radiographers, including rota planning and supervision of daily dutiesOversight of imaging equipment maintenance, including scheduling services, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining service and communication logsActing as Radiation Protection Supervisor (RPS), managing radiation dosimeters, maintaining the RPS folder, and supporting staff induction processesCollaborating with the Head of Imaging, Head RVN, and radiologists to ensure optimal staffing and efficient workflowPerforming modality-specific imaging procedures in accordance with best practice standards and regulatory guidance (MHRA 2015, IR(ME)R 2017, Code of Clinical Practice), following appropriate trainingMaintaining high standards of cleanliness and stock control throughout the imaging departmentUpholding clinical standards and contributing to a culture of excellence in patient careFor RVNs, there will be an opportunity to discuss the role's involvement in monitoring sedations and anaesthesia for imaging patientsTo ensure a smooth transition, we offer a structured 8-week induction programme designed to help you settle in and thrive.What We OfferCompetitive salary aligned with your experience5 weeks annual leave (pro rata) plus bank holidaysEnhanced contributory pension schemeGenerous CPD allowance with dedicated time offAccess to internal CPD programmes, including non-clinical developmentOpportunities for clinical research and teachingFlexible working patterns to support your work-life balanceWellbeing MattersWe are deeply committed to the wellbeing of our team.
