About the role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi
As Financial Accountant you will be responsible for delivering financial accounting and capital reporting across the Group, to assist stakeholders to make financial decisions.
The role will require building strong relationships with leaders and staff. Your proactive nature ensures that the Finance team and Wise Management Services are recognised for their top-notch services.
Some of your responsibilities may include:
- Preparing annual financial statements in accordance with PBE standards
- Leading the external audit process, including preparation of audit schedules and responding to audit queries
- Group accounting responsibilities, including consolidations and inter‑entity transactions
- Writing clear and concise group financial and board reports
- Preparing technical accounting papers, including analysis and recommendations
- Researching, interpreting, and applying new and updated accounting standards
- Supporting treasury activities, including cashflow management and forecasting (highly valued)
- Supporting the internal audit process
This role can be working 30-40 hours per week across Monday to Friday (for the right candidate) with the flexibility to work from both home and the office. We work across the motu so some travel may be required.
