We are looking for a part-time Support Worker in Tauranga, to provide support for young people, fostering their self-determination and empowering them to lead a valued life on their own terms.
This role is for two days a week, Monday and Wednesday from 10am to 4pm.
What does a Support Worker do?

You will support people in their home and community to lead fulfilling and meaningful lives, achieving their personal dreams and goals by doing the things they want to do, such as going swimming, attending sporting events, arts and crafts, movies, or shopping.

Who are we looking for?

People who are passionate about helping others, are kind and understanding.
Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred, including experience working with youth.
Full driver's license and owning your own vehicle is essential.
A desire to support people to learn new skills and achieve outcomes.
Somebody who has the initiative to push people for their goals, is energetic, outgoing, and can think outside the box.
You need to be respectful of others' thinking, and their way of living life that may be different from your own.
Empathy, respect, and cultural awareness are important in this role as the people we support come from diverse backgrounds with varying needs and interests.
