Overview

AS A TEAM LEADER FLEET SERVICES YOU WILL..

This position is responsible for the quality control and people management of the Fleet Services function. In doing so, this role manages the performance of the Fleet Services team and their processes and acts as the business conduit between the Fleet Services unit and the rest of the SG Fleet business. They are also responsible for building strong and productive relations with key national suppliers and statutory authorities. This role will work closely with the National Manager Service Operations supporting the implementation of any strategic plans and is responsible for the overall continuous improvement of the Fleet Services business unit.

YOUR DAYS WILL INVOLVE..

Oversee and manage the Fleet Services team ensuring their effective operation. Drive a strong customer service culture; one of accountability, engagement, and customer experience ownership, where dependable team members work collaboratively and intelligently within a proactive environment, delivering on KPIs and working towards high customer satisfaction ratings.

Train, coach and motivate the team through effective and efficient people management that creates a culture of collaborative leadership and communication, and lifts employee engagement and pride in belonging to SG Fleet.

In collaboration with the National Manager Service Operations responsible for recommending and implementing processes and system enhancements to gain increased productivity, efficiency, accuracy levels and service delivery across the Fleet Services team and support the customer complaint process.

Build and maintain relationships with all key preferred suppliers across the motor vehicle purchasing, servicing and related commodities as well as establish strong productive relationships with customers and all internal departments.

Monitor, record, analyse and report on activities, trends, results and recommendations in relation to the department on agreed measures.

About You

  • Sound experience as a people leader, demonstrating some capability at managing, coaching and developing teams
  • Experience in a customer service role and / or negotiating with suppliers
  • Can analyse information and solve problems, demonstrating resourcefulness, perseverance, and accountability
  • Actively creates useful internal, external, and cross-functional relationships and negotiates strongly
  • Demonstrates a high-level of attention to detail
  • Strong working knowledge of the MS Office suite of applications
  • Can solve problems through to complete resolution for customers in a timely and effective manner
  • Demonstrates excellent listening skills, and effectively seeks clarification on requests / instructions
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills - meets specified deadlines and reports regularly on progress
