Overview

Cantabria Lifecare & Village is a 176-bed Care Home and Hospital with a 35-unit Village, located in Rotorua.

Permanent Part-Time (less than 32 hours per week on a regular basis)

AM's, PM's, Nights and Weekend

Responsibilities

Our Kitchen Assistants are responsible for helping to provide meals for our residents at Cantabria Lifecare, working within a cohesive and well-established team environment.

This is a busy rest home kitchen where you will be undertaking manual tasks and assisting the cook as requested.

You will be in a role that is physical and requires time on your feet.

On-the-job training will be provided to ensure you succeed in this position.

Qualifications

Experience working in a kitchen, preferably a commercial kitchen; on-the-job training will be provided.

Basic cookery and food hygiene skills.

Very good interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to work within a team environment and be a team player.

Availability for morning, afternoon and weekend shifts.

Understanding of Nga Paerewa sector standards and applying the Treaty of Waitangi standards in the workplace.
