Motel Manager – Te Kuiti

We are seeking a Motel Manager to lead our Te Kuiti property, ensuring smooth operations, exceptional guest service, and sustainable business growth.

This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, inspires team performance, and is committed to delivering outstanding hospitality.

What you'll be doing :

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the motel, including guest services, housekeeping, and maintenance.

Regularly inspect facilities and ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations.

Manage budgets, monitor sales, analyse financial performance, and identify growth opportunities.

Handle guest feedback and complaints professionally to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.

Supervise and coordinate staff and contractors across housekeeping, cleaning, and maintenance functions.

Maintain high-quality standards in all guest areas, front-of-house, and back-of-house operations.

Promote the motel and implement marketing initiatives to attract and retain customers.

What we're looking for :

A hospitality diploma or bachelor's degree in any discipline, or at least 2 years' management-related experience.

Strong leadership and organisational skills with the ability to work independently or in a small team.

Positive, energetic personality with a customer-first approach.

General knowledge of property maintenance and grounds upkeep.

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

A second language would be an advantage.

Role Details :

Minimum Guaranteed Hours : At least 30 hours per week (up to 48 hours)

Pay Rate : $29.00 – $35.00 per hour (depending on experience and qualifications)

Employment Type : Permanent, Full-time
