Activities will be carried out in a way that contributes to Pae Ora (Healthy Futures) and the Smokefree Aotearoa Smokefree
You will also contribute to nationally consistent and effective systems / processes for regional delivery and reporting of compliance activity including development of national standards of practice.About the Team / Service / LocationThe National Public Health Service (NPHS) within Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora, work towards Pae Ora (healthy futures) for all by engaging with the wider determinants that impact people's health, focusing on oranga / wellbeing, prevention, protection, and population-level intervention.

You bring with you; previous experience that will help you work confidently in this role.
You are someone with strong problem solving and analytical skills combined with an ability to quickly assimilate new information.Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in a regulator / compliance capacity (e.g. Law, Health, Public Administration, Compliance)Experience in regulatory approaches and / or Smokefree and Regulated Products and Sale and Supply of Alcohol legislationExperience in implementing Te Tiriti o Waitangi in actionExperience in an advisory role, applying critical thinking and using sound judgement to develop options and provide adviceAbility to build relationships and work collaboratively with other Agencies and Public Health teamsClean NZ Drivers LicenceWillingness to travel across the regionWorking for Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
