About Us

The Greater New Brighton Charitable Trust (GNBCT) works to strengthen wellbeing, resilience, and community connection across the Greater New Brighton area. Our anchor project, the Village Green, is on track for completion by the end of the year. As we move from the construction to operational phase, we are looking for passionate, skilled people to join our Board.

Key responsibilities include :

• Recording receipts and payments
• Preparing monthly financial summaries
• Drafting the annual Performance Report and managing compliance with Charities Services / Companies Office
• Developing annual budgets and supporting funding applications
• Monitoring cashflow, managing surplus investments and advising on financial risk
• Liaising with the bank and supporting strong financial controls
• Providing financial analysis to support board decision-making

We’re looking for someone with :

Time Commitment

Approximately 15 hours per month , with additional time around annual reporting. Board meetings are held in New Brighton and are usually fortnightly for 3 – 3.5 hours duration.
