Join the University of Auckland's Human Resources team for a fixed-term opportunity as an HR Services Consultant, providing end-to-end transactional support across employment processes.

The role is open until February

Key Responsibilities

Managing employment variations, parental leave, secondments, and resignations.

Supporting onboarding processes and issuing employment agreements through HR systems.

Monitoring non-advertised recruitment and assisting with hiring-related queries.

Ensuring accurate data entry and liaising with Payroll for record accuracy.

Providing advice and informal training to staff on HR systems.

Identifying and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

Previous experience in HR administration or similar roles.

Confidence using Microsoft Office and HR systems such as Workday, SmartRecruiters, or similar HRIS / ATS tools.

Excellent customer-service skills and attention to detail.

Ability to manage high-volume processing and tight deadlines with ease.

Understanding of HR policies, compliance obligations, and employment legislation.

Clear communication with a range of stakeholders.

Hold a tertiary qualification in HR or a related field (preferred).

Compensation

Band E with an annual salary range of $62,400 to $70,000 (full-time).
