Cook – Deans of Huntly Limited, Huntly

Salary range : £13 – £14 an hour

Duration : Permanent, Full Time

Working hours : 72 hours per fortnight, 8am – 4pm

Location : Huntly

Closing date : November 14th 2025

About the Role

Our Bistro offers wholesome, homemade food along with lighter lunch items such as soups, sandwiches, paninis and wraps, complemented by fresh home bakes and scones. We are looking for a professional kitchen staff member with experience in a busy catering environment who can create excellent food that encourages repeat patronage.

Responsibilities

  • Compile food orders and develop new food concepts, including daily / weekly specials.
  • Ensure adherence to statutory Health & Safety, Food Safety and environmental legislation and procedures.
  • Work kitchen hours 8am – 4pm, covering 72 hours per fortnight, 9 days out of 14, including every second Saturday & Sunday.
  • Provide flexibility to cover staff holidays.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Good communication skills.
  • Passion for baking and cooking homemade food.
  • Attention to detail in food presentation and taste.
  • Experience working in a kitchen environment.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
