About the role

CARTERS Whangarei has an opportunity for a Customer Service Representative / Class 2 Driver to operate a curtainside truck to deliver pre-hang doors and other weather sensitive products to our valued trade customers on construction sites.

This role involves manual handling as you will load and unload doors into houses and sites.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and pride themselves on exceptional service and delivery to our customers in a timely, professional, and safe manner.

Your adaptability and versatility will also be key to provide support within the dry shed, panel, and timber yard store areas, driving a forklift when necessary.

Drive a Class 2 Curtainside truck

Manual handling, loading and unloading prehung doors onto construction sites

Carryout customer deliveries efficiently and on time and in accordance with health and safety regulations.

Pick and assemble customer orders.

Provide exceptional customer service to all customers on and off site.

About you

The ideal candidate will have a commitment to outstanding customer service and support and have the following skills and qualities :

Full, Clean NZ Drivers Licence with a minimum Class 2 Truck Licence

Forklift Licence (F Endorsed is a bonus)

A team player with the right attitude.

A real people person with a natural talent for building trust and rapport with our customers.

Basic computer skills

Proven awareness of health and safety legislation in this industry.

Physically fit for the occasional heavy lifting and manual handling

Building industry knowledgeis advantageous.
