The Opportunity
We are happy for this role to be based anywhere in New Zealand. The role can be based in Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Hawkes Bay, Manawatu, Wellington, Canterbury or Otago at one of our Proactive sites.
We are looking for an experienced and driven Senior Allied Health professional to lead our Pain Management service.
The National Clinical Lead is a role held alongside a senior allied health role within Proactive.
Key Responsibilities
The role is responsible for providing clinical services across services and contracts to deliver agreed individual and business objectives.
Provide professional and clinical leadership, to drive quality and clinical effectiveness within their service.
Support a clear understanding of ACC contractual requirements within the Pain Management Portfolio and ensure all contractual obligations are met effectively and efficiently by clinical staff.
Work alongside the National Pain Management Portfolio Lead, GM, quality team and systems improvement team relating to operational guidelines, training materials and reporting metrics.
Act as a resource for others across Proactive where there are technical and clinical contract queries to ensure conformance and consistency across Proactive.
Assist in preparing reports for funders (peer reviewed by GM and quality) as required.
Support and deliver on Proactive’s Pain Management strategic plan and vision, with performance measures and deliverables set annually.
Drive business growth by supporting referral volumes and the ability to grow the service.
Support the delivery of a culture of clinical excellence and continuous improvement whilst maintaining contractual compliance.
Contribute to changes in processes that are simplified to ensure excellence in quality and outcomes.
Monitor service delivery to identify performance trends and areas for quality and efficiency improvement.
Coordinate and deliver service provider training, coaching and mentoring in Pain Management practice and ACC service.
Quality control, benchmarking and direction to regions.
Work with partners (eg ABI, AIM, Smart Rehab, researchers, ACC, GPs) to support opportunities to raise Proactive profile and reputation in Pain Management Service Delivery.
Facilitate and assure compliance to efficient, best practice operating procedures by service providers.
Maintain up to date resources to ensure delivery of best practice.

Additional annual leave – will increase yearly up to 5 weeks after 5 years' service.
