About The Role

As Land Acquisition Officer, you’ll play a pivotal role in unlocking the next generation of renewable energy projects. You’ll be on the ground across New Zealand identifying land opportunities, negotiating agreements, and building trusted relationships with landowners, iwi and hapū, and key stakeholders. This is an outward-facing role that combines fieldwork, negotiation, and strategic input into the project pipeline.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate suitable land for renewable projects (wind, solar, BESS).
• Build and manage relationships with landholders, Māori land trusts, iwi / hapū, and local authorities.
• Negotiate heads of terms, leases, purchase and access agreements.
• Oversee due diligence, ensuring risk‑free land control.
• Collaborate with development, planning, grid, environmental and engineering teams.
• Stay across land policy, Māori land frameworks, and market trends to inform strategy.
