This is a rare opportunity to manage the Reservations department for some of New Zealand's most iconic tourism brands.

Aoraki / Mount Cook Alpine Village Limited, encompassing The Hermitage Hotel, Glacier Explorers, Big Sky Stargazing, Aoraki / Mount Cook Guided Hikes and the Mount Cook Lodge & Motels are seeking a Reservations Manager, based out of our head office in

Queenstown.

Working with an established and practiced team, we're after an experienced people leader and team player who thrives in a busy environment, has exceptional organisational skills, and is committed to providing excellent customer service.

What you will be doing :

Management and oversight of reservations / groups bookings & team

Building a culture of high-quality standards, customer service, strong relationships, and sales focus.

Working closely with all hotel departments and communicating effectively and concisely.

Managing third party sites and agents, ensuring proper implementation of reservations procedures.

Maintaining our Reservations system by updating of rates systems, validity dates, message templates, availability control.

Implementing rate strategies to achieve revenue budgets for rooms, F&B and tourism.

Undertaking recruitment, selection, and development of team members.

Identifying opportunities to improve and streamline reservations processes.

What will you bring to the role?

12 months of more supervisor / team leader / manager experience in a Hotel or Tourism Reservations.

Demonstrable experience in reservations where you maximized bookings, optimized inventory, and elevated market presence.

Your time management, mentoring and training experience, coupled with a solution focused mindset.

Your knowledge in the implementation and effective use of Hotel Reservations systems, preferably Agilysys.

Your experience of using data to improve process, revenue, bookings, and guest experiences.

The role and benefits :

The is a permanent and fulltime role working a minimum of 40 hours per week.

$68,000-$72,000 per annum, depending on experience.
