The Role
We’re looking for a talented and motivated Senior Transport Modeller to join our growing team. You’ll play a key role in developing and applying transport models, analysing outputs, and helping clients make evidence‑based decisions. You’ll work across a wide range of project types, from network planning to public transport evaluation and demand forecasting.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and calibrate transport models using Aimsun, EMME, and / or CUBE.
- Run scenario testing and analyse model results to inform project recommendations.
- Prepare clear and insightful technical documentation and client deliverables.
- Work closely with clients to understand their needs and present findings.
- Contribute to the development of innovative modelling tools and processes.
- Collaborate with a small team in a flexible, dynamic environment.
Requirements
5+ years of experience in transport modelling.Proficiency in transport modelling software such as Aimsun, EMME, or CUBE.Experience with model calibration and scenario testing.Strong analytical skills and an understanding of transport modelling principles.Experience interpreting and communicating model outputs.Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of tasks.Based in New Zealand, with a preference for Auckland (flexibility available).Desirable Skills
Experience with Python, GIS, or data visualisation tools.Exposure to public transport, freight, or active mode modelling.Interest in innovation, automation, or the application of AI in transport.What We Offer
