Join our diverse and talented people and work at the heart of national security, providing essential intelligence to the NZ government to protect New Zealand and its people.
Are you enthusiastic about working with technology, and want to take that energy into a unique and exciting environment? Do you want the opportunity to expand your Electrical skills into other areas? Are you interested in being part of an organisation that is committed to the security and well-being of New Zealand?
If the answer to these questions is yes, you need to seriously consider working for us based in Wellington. Our work is secret, but the reason for our success isn't. It's our people. And we're just like you. Together, we're going beyond ordinary to protect New Zealand and New Zealanders. We welcome diversity, in all its forms, in fact we consider it a strength. Join us and become part of a community where your skills and experiences are valued and you're encouraged to be curious, to share your ideas and do good work.
You will have some skills that we are definitely looking for such as;
A good understanding of electrical safety Regulations and Standards
Being a registered Electrician
Experience working with Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) and emergency stand-by power generation
And you might have familiarity with some of the following areas that aren't essential but would definitely be useful :
Chillers and air handling units
Installation and maintenance of a range of technical equipment
Updating and production of documentation and schematics
Phase balancing, power factor, harmonics and earthing
Plus, it would also be helpful for you to have some understanding of :
Fibre Optics and Networking
Working in a secure environment
Data Centre and Desktop IT equipment setup and maintenance
Do the skills above sound varied? They are. And we will be providing an opportunity to learn a whole lot more.
You will join a technology centric team who collectively do amazing things with computing and electronic technology, but you should also be comfortable solving complex problems on your own. You'll know that when the Engineers dream up an idea, you'll be the one who will make it work and that configuration management isn't aspirational.
Our work is beyond ordinary. Are you?
