Role overviewWe're looking for two Water Technicians (Drinking Water) to help keep our community's water clean, safe, and flowing.
You'll be part of a supportive team that looks after water treatment across the region.
This is a permanent, full time role that includes a 1-in-5 roster with overtime.ResponsibilitiesOperating and monitoring water treatment plants and pump stationsCarrying out routine maintenance and inspectionsResponding to faults and breakdowns quickly and safelyUsing automation systems to optimise performanceKeeping accurate records and reporting issuesSupporting continuous improvement and innovation in water treatmentWorking independently and as part of a rostered teamUndertake projects to improve the efficiency and quality of our systemsQualificationsTrade or technical experience, with at least five years post-qualificationA strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to long-term career growth in water treatmentConfidence working independently, with a proactive mindset and problem-solving skillsExperience with automation, optimisation, and fault-findingA current full driver's licenceSomeone who is keen to work hard, put in the extra effort needed, and work closely with the existing team.About Tauranga City CouncilAt Tauranga City Council, our Waters Division plays a vital role in shaping the future of our city's water infrastructure and services.
