We have a position available now for a qualified, Steel Fabricator to join our friendly team, at Waikato Milking Systems based at Horotiu, in the Waikato.
In this role you will undertake high quality, MIG and Stick welding to agreed standards, manufacturing high quality products for the Dairy / Agri tech sector in our NZ and overseas markets.
To be successful you will
Have completed and attained an Engineering Fabrication (Light Fabrication) L4 qualification primarily in MIG and stick welding
Enjoy working with steel
Have practical engineering workshop experience and knowledge of the end-to-end steel fabrication process, be capable of operating Section Rollers, Lathes, Radial Drills or similar plant and equipment relevant to this position.
Be 'fussy,' with a keen eye for detail
Be knowledgeable of metals and their properties
Be physically fit
Be comfortable and proficient with hand tools and handling metals
Be committed to quality and continuous improvement
Be an excellent communicator and contributor to a great team
Have a strong work ethic
Have a current, clean NZ Drivers Licence
