Curriculum Developer

Location : Auckland CBD

Full-time | Fixed term | Onsite

About the role

We are looking for a Curriculum Developer to support the design and improvement of our Pathways programmes. This is a non-teaching position reporting into the Head of Programme Development and Quality, that offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to academic programme quality and innovation within a supportive educational environment.

This is a 6-month fixed term contract based at the UPIC Campus in Auckland CBD.

Key responsibilities

  • Design, update, and map curriculum content and assessments for progressive skill development, especially for ESOL / EAL students.
  • Collaborate closely with academic staff to identify and address curriculum needs.
  • Research and benchmark curriculum design and assessment approaches, including opportunities to responsibly integrate digital and AI tools.
  • Assist with curriculum documentation for programme review and audit processes.
  • Support professional development initiatives related to curriculum and assessment changes.

Qualifications

About you

  • Proven curriculum development experience in tertiary or pathway education contexts, including working with ESOL / EAL learners.
  • NZQF Level 7 qualification (or higher) in education, applied linguistics, TESOL, curriculum development, assessment, or in a related field is required.
  • Strong digital literacy, organisational skills, and language awareness.
  • A positive, team-oriented approach, demonstrating respect for teaching practice and commitment to supporting language learners.
  • Awareness of emerging technologies in education.
