Bring your high level of knowledge and expertise to support tumuaki, senior school leaders, and Boards of Trustees to strengthening educational performance
The senior education advisor works directly with our tumuaki, senior school leaders, and Boards of Trustees on strengthening educational performance in schools and kura.
You will ensure that sector leaders and the communities in which they operate have access to the expertise, programmes and resources that will allow our children and young people to reach their full potential.
We are looking for someone who has experience in and knowledge of the schooling sector and associated legislation.
To be successful in this role, you will need :
A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent level of practical experience, preferably in a leadership role within a school.
Experience in building relationships and influencing change to achieve outcomes.
An ability to use data and insights to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
Strong engagement and communication skills, including experience of providing high quality and timely advice – written and verbal.
The ability to work as part of an integrated team delivering services to the education sector.
This includes working co-operatively with others to solve problems and complete tasks.
An understanding of National Education and Learner Priorities (NELP), Ka Hikitia, the Action Plan for Pacific Education, and Success for All and how these documents impact on this work.
The ability to understand and apply the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and tangatawhenuatanga.
You will need a current full driver's licence as the role involves some regional travel.
