The role

We''re on the hunt for an experienced Auto Electrician to join a tight-knit, high-performing workshop team.

The role is hands-on, varied, and ideal for someone who enjoys working on custom builds and integrating electrical systems into large, complex vehicles and equipment.

You''ll be responsible for wiring, fault-finding, and installing everything from lighting systems to braking controls, steering electronics, and onboard diagnostics - all within a specialised heavy transport environment where no two builds are ever the same.

Duties will include :

Wiring and installing 12V / 24V systems on heavy-duty trailers, modules, and custom transport rigs

Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults - lighting, brakes (ABS / EBS), sensors, relays, etc.

Reading schematics and wiring diagrams to carry out clean, precise installs

Integrating modern electronic features like steering controls, load sensors, and safety systems

Working alongside mechanical, hydraulic, and fabrication teams to complete full builds

Ensuring all work meets quality, safety, and compliance standards

What we''re looking for

Qualified and experienced auto electrician with a heavy vehicle and heavy machinery background

Strong understanding of trailer / truck electrical systems and fault diagnostics

Familiar with ABS / EBS braking systems, CAN-bus, relays, and load control units

Good attention to detail and pride in tidy, reliable installs

A proactive approach - someone who can work independently and solve problems on the floor

Clean drivers licence / s - a Class 2 licence is a bonus (but not essential)
