We are a small, whanau-focused early childhood centre in Howick looking for a warm, motivated teacher-in-training to join our infants & toddlers team.
This role would ideally suit a Year 2 or 3 Bachelor of Teaching (ECE) student, or someone nearing completion of their ECE qualification, who is passionate about quality care and education for our youngest tamariki.
You will be working 36 hours per week over 4 days (set roster to be discussed at interview) with infants and toddlers (approximately 0–3 years) in a small, nurturing centre.
The role involves supporting the teaching team with care routines, play experiences and learning documentation, while growing your understanding of Te Whariki, responsive caregiving and primary caregiving approaches.
You will be supported to connect your study, practicum and centre practice, with opportunities for mentoring and guidance.
In return, we offer a supportive, experienced team who enjoy mentoring student teachers, a small, friendly centre where relationships with tamariki and whanau come first, and ongoing professional learning and development.
To apply, please email your CV, a brief cover letter, and details of your current study (year level and institution)
We look forward to hearing from you and supporting the next step in your ECE journey.
