THE OPPORTUNITY

Lead a high-performing team, grow Riverslea farm, and live where most people only dream of visiting — in the heart of Fiordland.

As Farm Manager you’ll take responsibility for the operational and financial performance of the farm, leading a skilled team and working in partnership with your Business Manager to deliver strong, sustainable results.

This role is suited to an experienced leader who thrives on combining strategic thinking with hands‑on execution. You’ll have the scope to influence farm direction, build capability within your team, and contribute to a progressive business committed to innovation, sustainability and excellence in farming.

You’ll be supported to continue developing your leadership and technical skills, with access to training and a strong network across Pāmu, while maintaining the autonomy to make key on‑farm decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Foster a team culture where everyone feels valued, supported and proud of their contribution
  • Drive farm performance across physical and financial measures, focusing on stock and pasture performance
  • Apply sound feed budgeting, grazing management and animal health practices
  • Lead a proactive health, safety, and wellbeing culture across the farm
  • Collaborate with your Business Manager on strategic planning, budgeting and reporting
  • Maintain strong networks across the local rural community and represent Pāmu proudly in the region

The farm’s scale and diversity make it an exciting environment to continue developing your farming and leadership skills.

Living here means being part of a supportive local community with world‑class outdoor opportunities — from fishing and hiking to exploring Fiordland National Park, right on your doorstep.

  • Confidence using technology and data to inform good decisions
  • A natural ability to communicate, motivate and lead by example
  • A collaborative mindset and curiosity to keep learning and improving
