About the Role

This is a purpose-built centre licensed for 100 children, committed to delivering top-notch education and nurturing a strong sense of community. My client is looking for a vibrant leader with robust curriculum expertise, a team-oriented approach, and a passion for cultivating a positive and thriving team culture. We are searching for a dynamic leader with a strong background in curriculum development, a coaching-based leadership style, and a solid grasp of centre financials. You\'ll play a pivotal role in the centre\'s success, working alongside a dedicated team and reporting to an Area Manager. Your passion for delivering exceptional learning outcomes, building strong relationships, and driving team excellence will shine in this role.

This is a permanent, full-time position - 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coach a vibrant team, shape curriculum and teaching practice to support high-quality learning outcomes
  • Develop and implement a child-led curriculum aligned with regulatory requirements and Te Whāriki
  • Oversee centre operations, including budgeting, financials, and reporting to the Area Manager
  • Foster a positive, inclusive centre culture and strong stakeholder relationships
  • Ensure compliance with ECE regulations and quality standards

What You\'ll Bring

  • BEd / Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE or Primary) and current Teaching Certification
  • In-depth understanding of child-led curriculum and pedagogical leadership
  • Up-to-date knowledge of ECE regulations and Te Whāriki
  • A strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi in everyday practice
  • Proven ability to coach, mentor, and grow your team\'s potential
  • Innovative thinking and a love for simplifying and improving systems
