Third In Charge (3Ic) Queenstown

We're seeking a passionate and experienced retail leader to join Macpac Queenstown as a part-time 3IC (Third in Charge). In this role, you'll support the Store Manager and Assistant Manager in driving sales, delivering outstanding customer experiences, and leading a motivated team. Ideally, you'll bring at least two years of retail experience and proven ability to manage and inspire teams, though we're also open to candidates with leadership experience in hospitality. Strong communication skills, problem-solving ability, and a genuine passion for outdoor gear and sustainability will set you apart. As anAssistant Manager, you're key in supporting the Store Manager to help your store reach its full sales potential, operate smoothly, and create a positive, engaging work environment.

To be successful in the role

This role is set in a high energy environment. To thrive here, you should ideally have :

Management or supervisor experience.

The ability to lead by example and deliver top-tier customer service.

An ability to motivate and inspire your team.

Skills in training, driving floor sales, and achieving results.

Experience in visual merchandising, stock control, health and safety and store security.

Having experience with outdoor clothing and equipment is not essential... a passion for the outdoors or travel is preferable.
