We are currently recruiting a Part Time Community Development Facilitator who can work effectively across a broad range of stakeholders in an evolving and growing community environment.
This is a 10 month, fixed term, parental leave cover position.
This role involves facilitating community-led activities that create a healthier, happier, safer Waimakariri District, with a particular focus on family violence and alcohol and drug harm and addiction.
This is in line with the Waimakariri District Council Community Development Strategy
Qualifications
Working to a community-led model
Community Engagement
Facilitating groups, including organising and running meetings
Project planning and evaluation
Social and online media
Working across a range of sectors, including business, social and community
Working with people from a diverse range of cultural, socio-economic and values-based demographics
We are looking for self-motivated people who can motivate others and encourage innovative thinking to generate solutions to community-identified issues and opportunities.
Your ability to build rapport and influence will complement your excellent communication skills.
You will need to be well organised and able to manage a workload of diverse portfolios to achieve timely outcomes.
You will be able to work well as part of a team.
It would be advantageous to have active involvement in a range of communities of interest.
Being passionate and willing to bring energy and enthusiasm will be a plus!
