Our fleet of two ships and over 200 trucks is supported by a nationwide network of six depots and a 450+ strong team to deliver hundreds of thousands of tonnes of freight (and passengers) weekly.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team based from our depot in Palmerston North as a Class 5 Metro Driver.

This is a full-time role, working Monday to Friday involving driving and delivery work in Palmerston North and around the greater Manawatu, Hawkes Bay and Wellington regions.

While this position requires the successful applicant to possess a Class 5 licence, they will predominantly be driving a Class 4 vehicle.

This position does not require you to stay away overnight.

Responsibilities

Provide safe and efficient delivery of freight within assigned regions according to delivery schedules and customer service standards.

Maintain accurate records of freight loads, mileage, and compliance with company and regulatory safety procedures.

Qualifications

Clean Class 5 licence and relevant prior driving experience

Preferably holds a DG and F endorsement

Excellent geographical knowledge of Palmerston North City and the greater Manawatu, Hawkes Bay and Wellington regions

Physically fit for the job

Displays a commitment to health and safety in the workplace
