As our new Tribe Tech Lead – Core, you’ll play a pivotal role in our core banking transformation. You’ll lead a multi-year journey to revolutionise our systems, simplify and enhance customer experiences, and drive innovation across ASB.
Key accountabilities
- Define the Tribe’s technology roadmap and make meaningful progress towards the target state
- Oversee delivery of technology outcomes especially the core modernisation, ensuring projects meet quality standards and align with Tribe and ASB objectives
- Act as a strategic collaborator to the Tribe Lead and CXOs / CXLs, co-defining key technology investments
- Ensure delivery of technology changesrequiredfor the wider ASB organisation
- Proactivelyidentifyand address escalations, ensuring smooth technology delivery within the Tribe
- Manage core technology assets, ensuring reliability, stability, address technical risks, and elevate asrequired
- Determine theoptimaltechnology capability mix and develop Chapter Leads
- Foster a culture of creativity, experimentation, and continuous improvement of processes, technologies, and methodologiestowards engineering best practice

Qualifications
Demonstrated success in senior technology leadership roles, ideally within large or complex organisations in a transformation contextDeep expertise in software development, systems architecture, infrastructure, and engineering practicesProven ability to set strategic vision and deliver technology evolution through effective planning and executionCollaborative leadership style that empowers and influences teams to achieve aligned outcomesBroad technical capability across data, digital, and technologyExperience leading transformation and adopting agile and DevOps methodologiesOur values guide everything we do for our team, customers, and community.
