The Role

We're looking for a

Research Specialist

to join our

Strategy & Insights

team in Auckland.

You'll play a pivotal role in driving MediaWorks' out-of-home research and insights strategy, supporting strategic selling requirements, providing deep analysis of market and audience data, and turning insights into action.

Working closely with sales, marketing, and product teams, you'll use your research expertise and analytical mindset to uncover what drives our customers, inform campaign strategies, and shape the evolution of MediaWorks products.

What You'll Do

Collaborate with sales and strategy teams to identify research opportunities and deliver actionable insights.

Support client campaign research and measurement in partnership with external research agencies.

Analyse audience, market, and performance data to generate insights that inform product and sales strategies.

Develop compelling case studies, strategic proposals, and market collateral that bring insights to life.

Stay ahead of global research and data trends, recommending new tools and methodologies that support growth.

Champion data-driven decision-making across the business.

About You

You're naturally curious, analytical, and passionate about using research to tell stories that inspire change.

You combine technical research skills with creative problem-solving and strong communication.

You'll bring :

Tertiary qualification in Business, Marketing, Communications, or Research (preferred).

3-4 years of experience in a research, insights, or strategy role, ideally within media, agency, or research sectors (preferred).

Proficiency with data and insights tools (e.g., Nielsen, Roy Morgan, GeoTribes, SMI, or similar).

Strong analytical, data visualisation, and presentation skills.

Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

A genuine curiosity about audience behaviour and media performance.
