Full-time, fixed-term – Logan Park High School, Ōtepoti / Dunedin

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic teacher of geography and social studies to join our social sciences team for 2026.

Logan Park High School is a vibrant, creative, and inclusive kura set in the heart of Ōtepoti / Dunedin.

Our social sciences department is successful, well-resourced, and home to passionate kaiako who work collaboratively to inspire ākonga. We believe in teaching young people to question, explore, and connect with the world, helping them understand their place in both Aotearoa and the wider global community.

About you

We are looking for someone who :

• Brings a passion for geography and social studies, with strengths in teaching across Y9–13. Please state any supporting subjects.
• Is committed to creating student‑centred, engaging lessons that encourage curiosity and critical thinking.
• Values the importance of relationships and inclusive practice in supporting young people to succeed.
• Can work effectively as part of a collaborative, forward‑thinking team.

Whilst the position initially is fixed‑term for 1 year, while the existing teacher travels, it may develop into a permanent one.

Participation in the extra‑curricular life of the school is expected.
