About the Role
As the IT Auditor Manager, you’ll be responsible for overseeing audits focused on IT General Controls and the foundational policies and procedures that ensure the integrity of our technology environment. These controls underpin the reliability of financial reporting and data security across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute audits covering ITGCs across access control, software development, IT operations, change management and incident response.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Provide ongoing coaching, performance feedback and developmental support to junior staff, including reviewing their work and guiding them through professional growth opportunities.
- Provide insights and recommendations to mitigate risks related to data breaches, fraud, and system failures.
- Ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial data through robust control frameworks.
Experience
Proven experience in IT auditing, risk management, or technology assurance.Strong understanding of ITGCs and their role in financial and operational integrity.Ability to assess complex IT environments and communicate findings clearly.Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and audit standards.Excellent stakeholder engagement and leadership skills.Your Future at BDO Auckland
