Babcock is looking for an Apprentice Marine Mechanical Fitter to join the Delivery team based in Devonport, Auckland. The role offers hands‑on training aboard naval ships, superyachts and research craft, with a clear pathway to a permanent position as a qualified Marine Mechanical Fitter.

Responsibilities

• Install complex mechanical systems on a variety of vessels.
• Overhaul propulsion gearboxes and support dry‑dock operations.
• Assist with precision mechanical fitting and major refits.
• Follow safety procedures and collaborate with experienced professionals.
