Job description

Overview

What if you could pioneer sustainable transport solutions while driving your career forward?

With us, you can.

Graduate Engineers - Bridges

We are hiring Graduate Engineers to join our Bridges team in the Hamilton or Auckland office, starting in early 2026.

Our Graduate Engineer roles are for those completing their relevant Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) or Master's degree by the end of 2025 with less than one year of relevant work experience as a Graduate (internships do not count toward the one-year maximum).

If you have more than one year of work experience as a Graduate, please instead apply for a role of interest through our careers site.

WSP Graduate Programme

We don't simply employ Graduates; we foster and enrich them.

Naturally, there is a lot to learn, and you are likely to be guided through complex software packages, team briefings, and client updates from the start.

You'll also have access to our award-winning Graduate Development Programme.

With our two-year programme, you own your career and drive your success.

We provide you with the tools, support, and environment to flourish.

On a day-to-day basis, the life of a Graduate at WSP typically starts off in the morning with a walk, bike, or drive to the office and then responding to any urgent client emails.

Beyond that, anything could happen!

You could be involved in report writing, modelling, or design calculations in 3D software packages.

Your day could also involve visiting sites and liaising with contractors, discussing options for concept designs with colleagues, responding to client requests for information, or meetings with the team about the scope and progress of projects.

WSP Transport Sector

We help clients create holistic transport solutions and reliable multi-modal infrastructure systems that reduce the cost of living, support inter-community and social mobility, bolster economic diversification, and ensure effective whole-of-life resource development for communities.

Our client-centric approach considers the full asset lifecycle from front-end planning, environmental assessments, design, and operation, through to the renewal to drive outcomes for our clients and their customers in the communities we serve.

Our teams cover consultancy, engineering, and research, enabling us to bring confidence and innovative approaches to transport projects that serve our local communities.

Imagine a better future for you and a better future for us all.

WSP NZ has twice proudly earned its place among the top five employers to work for in Aotearoa New Zealand, as recognised in Randstad's latest employer surveys.

In addition, WSP has been listed as one of TIME's 2023 top 100 companies globally for employees.

Join our close-knit community of talented individuals who share your passion for making a positive impact.

Our global team includes more than 73,000 employees, working together to make a difference in communities both close to home and around the world.

With us, you can.

Apply today.
