Business and Strategic Development Manager

Purpose : The Business and Strategic Development Manager is to lead ARL's business and commercial growth by building sustainable partnerships, driving new revenue streams, and supporting the development of viable rugby league clubs through a centralised investment and support model.

As a high performing leader, you can ensure the overall success of business and commercial operations and resources of the organisation.

Demonstrates systems thinking, critical analysis and solid financial acumen to ensure the organisation achieves its commercial, sponsorship, and community objectives through diverse revenue streams.

The Business and Strategic Development Manager reports directly to the CEO and maintains a proactive line of communication to all Senior Leadership Team members and ARL Board.

Skills, Experience & Key Competencies :

Proven experience as a senior leader in securing commercial, philanthropic, government funding and revenue streams.

Strong collaborative leadership and an influencer to empower others through organisational culture and values.

Extensive experience in executing effective strategic and business plans.

Strong understanding of finance and performance management principles.

Experienced in leading an organisation through a successful transformation

Ability to take decisive action with speed and conviction.

Effective communicator, public speaker, and negotiator.

Track record of building and maintaining strong key relationships.

A thinking outside of the box mindset.

Significant experience in working within a large sporting body is highly desirable.

This is a Fixed Term 12-month, Part Time position, targeted KPIs.
