Every day is about supporting people at the most vulnerable times of their lives, whether that's an older person needing care and connection, or a family working through tough times.
This is a split role spending 40 hours per fortnight as our Recreation Officer and 4 hours per fortnight as our Village Co-ordinator.
The hours are Friday to Sunday.
Opportunity may exist for additional hours depending on the operational needs of the Home / Village.
Key Aspects
Plan and facilitate individual residents' recreation plans and implement these across the Home.
Drive and transport residents / clients.
Ensure outings and activities are well planned and Health and Safety protocols are followed.
Encourage residents to maintain their independence, learn new skills, and maintain connections with their community.
Village Co-ordinator Responsibilities
Welcome new residents and assist with their transition into the Enliven community.
Support residents after settlement, ensuring changes, updates, events and notices are effectively communicated.
Serve as a key point of contact for residents.
Drive the home van for external activities.
About You
As well as a passion for the wellbeing of older people, you will be enthusiastic but patient, well organised, and possess great interpersonal skills.
You will share our values of empathy, compassion, and respect and commit to Enliven's Eden philosophy of care.
Key Skills Include
Qualification in Diversional Therapy or studying towards obtaining this.
Flexibility to participate fully in life at our home, which may include working outside of normal hours for events and celebrations.
Experience in a customer-facing role, including associated administration.
Computer literacy and ability to work with various systems / databases.
Full, clean New Zealand driver's license with ability to drive a manual van with passengers.
