We’re looking for an experienced Software Asset Management (SAM) professional ready to step into a role with broad scope, responsibility, and visibility. As our Software Asset Management Analyst, you will manage and optimise the lifecycle of software assets across Auckland Council—ensuring compliance, reducing risk, and driving cost efficiency. Your work will directly influence audit readiness, vendor negotiations, and strategic decision-making, helping Auckland Council maximise value from its software investments.
This role is ideal for someone who has moved beyond entry-level SAM tasks and is ready to operate with autonomy, analytical depth, and cross-functional influence—without needing to be senior or fully specialised yet.

Qualifications
Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or related field preferred.
2–3+ years of relevant SAM / ITAM experience (or equivalent capability).
Certifications such as CSAM, CITAM, LISA, or equivalent are highly desirable.
ITIL certification is preferred.
Experience with procurement and budgeting processes.
