Support the Senior Accountant and Director through independent accountability, to achieve the sales and growth, client management, client retention and operational objective of the business.

Tasks
Responsible for preparing end of year financial statements, along with the Income tax and other compliance returns for various range of clients : Company, Trust, Non-Profit Organisation, Sole traders and Rental PropertiesReview of end of year accounts and tax returns fromReview of the GST returns prepared by the outsourcing teamPreparation of cashflow forecasts, budget, and Business PlansClient meetingsManage IRD filing %Manage the relationship and contact with ClientsSet business goals and research new target marketWork with the director to implement the strategy and plan to grow the firmRequirements
Demonstrate problem-solving and critical thinking skillsMinimum of 2 years of Public Practice experience, along with CA / CPA Certification or intending to complete.Strong computer skills, along with proven experience in all areas of Xero / Xero Practice Manager / Xero TaxNZICA / CPA or relevant accounting qualificationDemonstrated experience of delivering the key accountabilitiesDemonstrated experience working independently without supervisionIntermediate knowledge of the Microsoft suite of productsWorking knowledge and experience in financial packagesStrong written and oral communication skillsA strong customer focusA team player who is willing to help in different parts of the team when other team members are busyInterested?
